Sensing architecture

The filter protects you from it.
A deliberate separation most designs get wrong: Securio's air-quality sensor sits on the ambient side — never behind the filter.
If the sensor sat behind filtration, it would read artificially clean air and defeat the entire purpose: measuring your real exposure. And because the laser particulate sensor uses active, fan-driven sampling, the internal fan sets a controlled sample volume and flow rate — so wind, speed and motion don't corrupt the intake reading. You get the truth about your microenvironment, and protection from it, at the same time.

The two-model architecture

A safety-adjacent device has no business hiding its logic. So we split the intelligence in two — on purpose.
The Exposure Engine
A rules-based fusion engine computes your Exposure Index from pollutant concentrations, activity level and heat strain. It is transparent, explainable and works from day one. At rest, your exposure equals your microenvironment's air — it rises above it only when you're active or heat-strained. Every reading is versioned and traceable.
Personal baselines
Machine learning is scoped to one job: learning your normal. Over a 30-day calibration window, Securio builds personal baselines for your posture (head–neck angle) and skin temperature — so alerts are measured against you, not a population average. Awareness, not diagnosis.

Edge first
Sensor intelligence runs on the device itself. Your raw readings are processed before they travel anywhere.
Anonymised by default
Data is anonymised on-device before any cloud transmission. Individual sensor data is encrypted with AES-256 and is never sold.
Fault isolated
Native iOS and Android apps with isolated infrastructure — a platform issue can't cascade across the user base. The right posture for a safety device.
